Description:
This course will examine the basic issues involved
in the psychological process of addiction, including the predisposing
factors (genetic, familial, spiritual, intrapsychic); the range of
behaviors which may become addictive; the stages of addiction, recovery
and relapse. Each of these issues will be investigated from the
perspective of the helping professions.
